Effective 28 September 2006 Bangkok's venerable international
airport in Don Muang will close to all international and domestic
arrivals. The new international airport, Suvarnabhumi Airport,
is located about 25 kilometres east of downtown Bangkok. This
beautiful new airport is now the largest airport in Southeast
Asia. Set on 8,000 acres and boasting the largest single terminal
building in the world the arirport is designed to handle some
45 million passengers annually.
That said, hotels in this area are near the old airport in
Don Muang. Hotels near the new airport will be added shortly.
FYI, in order to remain objective, hotels are listed in alphabetical
order. We don't favor any hotel for any reason.
